Tomita Hiroyuki – “Persisted Aesthetic”

NHK aired on January 31, a 45 min documentary about Tomita Hiroyuki. It probably is the last documentary about him that we are going to see.
It’s like a mini-biography of Tomita’s gymnastic life. It starts from his childhood and shows his growth and evolution in gymnastics.

The video it’s very enjoyable, with comments made by Tomita-san himself. It contains new photos of him during childhood and college!
Tomita-san expressed his feelings and emotion that felt during the Athene Olympics. It shows also him in Melbourne, becoming the world champion. The change of the Code of points affected him enormously, and he struggled within whether to focus on difficult elements or stick with his beauty.
It relates also about the 2006, 2007 World Championships, Beijing Olympics and the last performance oh him – Madrid World Cup.
Enjoy the video and share your impressions!
