Tomita Hiroyuki VS Arashi

The Japanese Gymnast Tomita Hiroyuki, that recently retired, apeared on the TV program “VS Arashi” that was broadcasted on January 10 on Fuji TV.

At this show the guests play various games with the members of the Arashi band. Many of them require physical strength. Usually the show last 30min, but this time it was a 2 hour special edition.

Here is the Athlete Team:

Choi Hong-man, Tomita Hiroyuki, Atsuhito Uchida, Koki Kameda, Haruka Hirota, Shingo Katayama, Daisuke Miura

Tomita-san participated only at one contest “Climbing” and he did great! He earned 550 points, when the average score is 300 points! He climbed so fast and elegant! Here is a video where you can see him doing a jump at trampoline and climbing. He’s gorgeus and his smile is extraordinary!

Unfortunately the Athlete’s Team didn’t win, even though they had the highest score. They lost at the final chalenge Rolling Coin Tower :(

    I love to see Tomita’s appearance!
    It was awesome, the climbing was elegant, fast, with a lot of points and he didn’t need the “extra-grips”.

  3. Yes he was the best! Tomita-san was the star of the show! It was so exciting watching him live on TV! When he climbed, I think my heart stopped! I jumped off my chair when I saw the score! And his lovely smile killed me ;)
    He is so strong! I love his strong arms ^^

    I also want to hear only good news about Tomita-san! He deserves all the best and I really want him to be happy!
    I know that NHK is making a documentary about Tomita and it will be broadcasted on January 31! I’m really looking forward to see it!

  11. Wow, looks like I missed a lot between New Years and now! Tomita-san was so cute! Awww, I wish I was there…I would have screamed my lungs out (which I remember doing for them not to pick me…whatever) but he is so strong…ah. I could imagine him climbing up the palace walls to save me…wow fantasizing much.

  14. the japanese are all very creative and fun-loving people, i think. to have all these game shows and stuffs (which we would never have here) and be able to think up of something different everytime

    Anyway it was really entertaining watching the contest :)

    Well a king is supposed to be married, that’s why I said he’d be a prince…

  18. As far as I know he’s not dating yet!
    He’s probably reserved because wants to have his private life, without press to interfere!
    The documentary about Tomita-san will be aired on January 31st. Maybe we’ll find new things about him and his personal life too…
